[THIS SITE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION] Third Place is a community of artists, dreamers, entrepreneurs, makers, doers, and community builders – centered around a creative and cultural space in the heart of Oslo. Our co-created community space is a permanent home for the burner-spirit, and a focal point for ideas and participation. It embeds the values of participatory culture, creativity, and inclusiveness into our everyday lives. Third Place can be explained, but it is better if you experience it.

When you step into the Third Place, it will feel a bit like you’re going out – and a bit like you’re coming home. Take your shoes off and participate in a radical experiment of community-building, self-expression, and co-created spaces.

What is Third Place?

We are organized as a non-profit organization (forening) and our community space is defined by the tenets of decommodification. There are no investors, no profit, no salaries, no advertising. We run solely on inspiration, communal effort, and contributions from our community. Our aim is to promote participatory culture and foster an open, inclusive and diverse community.
